Shareholder services
For account changes, registered shareholders should start with the transfer agent. If your shares are held by a broker, contact your broker. The bank’s investor contact can help with anything else.
Keeps registered share accounts and handles address changes, transfers and tax forms.
Registered shareholders can reinvest dividends in more shares through the transfer agent’s dividend reinvestment plan, without commission.
Dividends can also go by direct deposit to a checking or savings account at any U.S. bank. Enroll or change instructions with the transfer agent.
Report a lost, stolen or destroyed stock certificate to the transfer agent right away so it can be stopped. A replacement usually needs an affidavit and an indemnity bond.
The transfer agent also handles transfers of shares after a shareholder dies.
